In-depth Skype interview for ~1 hour. They actually called my references, which makes sense because it's working with kids. I had spent a few summers working for Cybercamps, a competitor who is no longer around.

The regional manager will and give you a brief overall summary of the position. If it is something you are still interested in, they schedule an interview to be done over the phone with two regional managers - or a Skype interview with a single regional manager.

    Interview Questions

    • Since it is a tech camp, they do ask a lot of tech based questions. They do not expect you to know everything - but expect you to have a basic understanding of the technology used.   Answer Question

There is no negotiation. Each position has a firm set amount that everyone makes across the board.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at iD Tech Camps.

    Interview

Online application. It's pretty long, and there's a whole other set of requirements they need to you to meet such as getting physical since it's really a summer camp. Got a phone interview fairly quickly. Interviewer was nice but extremely strict. They make it very clear if you get a position that there are plenty of others to replace you with. None of the questions were too tough. They have a very robust online system that takes into account a huge number of factors, so if you have any experience in tech, they'll probably find some use for you.

    Interview Questions

    • They present you with about 6 "nightmare" issues all happening at once, and you basically have to perform triage, determining what you should deal with first.   1 Answer

    Reasons for Declining

I WANTED to go through with it, but their idiotic policy of needing me to fly out to one of their training locations nearly a thousand miles from where I lived PAYING FOR MY OWN TRANSPORT THERE AND BACK NO LESS made it impossible for me to do it. I begged and pleaded for an alternative, surely I couldn't be the only person that found their demands impossible to meet, not to mention completely ridiculous? It would have cost me a month's pay just to get there and back. But no, I either had to get myself over there, or loose the position.
