Interviewed Mar 2012 in Pune (India) (took a day)
They approached me and invited to come for the interview. Once there, there were around six different rounds since my position was for the senior level. The rounds were a mix of Two Technical, Two managerial rounds and Two HR rounds not in that order for the whole day only because there was a long waiting period unnecessarily as there was only me for the interview that day.
I was through with all the rounds. In fact, all of them were impressed with the way the interview went. The senior management was really impressed and even shared their personal number for me to contact them in after I join the organisation. The HR promised that they will get back to me with the offer letter as it was too late that day for them and they wanted to leave.
I agreed and till date I am awaiting the offer letter in spite of numerous follow-ups. The management is not even answering my calls now as they have no response to give.
The work place is also not that good as the atmosphere over there was very dull and not exciting.
Never mind...it was something to know that even this also exists and people should be aware.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took 5+ weeks)
It was a great interview over phone by the HR person with questions related to the current role, responsibilities, etc.. Followed by a panel interview on technical and project manageement related questions and then by another senior person about higher responsibilities.
After that, once again HR interview happened for compensation details and offer discussions. Later I joined after a period of about 3 months

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Bangalore (India) (took 2 days)
Too many ppl have left IGate patni in last few years. New people are running out in only few months after joining due to pathetic HR policies and kind of humiliation / torture by management for work.
They will ask you a commitment to stay with company for few years :)
Notice period is increased to 3 months for the same reason.
Negotiation Details
Igate patni is in need of employee due to high attrition rate. They did not negotiate much on salary portion.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 2 days)
After getting through with the aptitude test 98 out 197 were selected for two rounds of interview. One interview was technical and the last one was HR. The technical interview lasted for around 40 mins and was on the easier side with only two three questions asked about open source systems etc. Rest of the interview was basically about me , what things I liked etc. The interviewer was a great person. He told me about the technologies IGATE Patni was working on and some other technical stuff. The next day was HR where I was asked whether I would sign a service agreement , work in shifts etc. Then I was asked about IGATE Patni, why I wanted to join the company. The result came was declared and out 98 students 42 were selected. I was one among them.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Chennai (India) (took a day)
The aptitude test was probably the simplest you can ever find. The verbal part was a piece of cake and math( quantitative ) part was definitely solvable. The only thing is the cut off mark for individual sections and also overall is pretty high. So just make sure that you do well in both sections. The filtering was pretty high, only 48 out of 370 got into the next round. the technical interview and HR interview happened simultaneously, they asked me to write programs and also asked me from my line of interest which is microprocessor, tech interview happened for almost half an hr in my case and few of my other friends had a panel technical interview consisting of 2 or 3 technical interview, The HR round was very simple and they just checked my fluency as such.finally out of 370, 30 of us got placed.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
THE hiring process is quite easy first they ask for essay writing on perfect weekend to see your communication skill, following it will be a test on English, numerical ability, reasoning etc.. which is very easy, then follows hr interview which is max of your introduction and then basic debit and credit entries, followed by name sake operations round, and then final round regarding filling forms related to joining.
The salary offered is 1.2 lakhs per annum that too for an MBA graduate, which i feel, dont have words to say
