Interview Details –
Long, drawn out process made up of several 1 hour interviews with peers that stretched over an 8 week timeframe. The market was weak at the time - so time was on the employer's side.
All key stakeholders were not included - it would have helped if they were. Direct reports were not included - it would have helped if a few representatives had been.
Very consensus-driven organization.
Broader involvement could have surfaced issues important to my decision-making process.
As it went, I found out critical information after I joined the company. This did not build my trust.
The process ends with 2 to 3 hour session reviewing life experiences from high school forward.
It seems more could have been accomplished with less.
The company leadership is very committed to this process.
