Interviewed Aug 2010 in Chennai (India) (took 2 months)
There is no standard process followed. The intake just depends on whether the interviewing manager wants to recruit you or not. One can expect undue delay in communication and nonchalant response from HR. One can also expect mis-communication and hence it is better to document all communication via email. Number of interviews, interview mode can be anything as all that depends on the whims of the recruiting manager.
Negotiation Details
Negotiation is very important as salary cuts might also be offered. The company has a very short-sighted approach in rolling out offers.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview.
