No Offer – Interviewed in Mar 2013 – Reviewed Mar 28, 2013
Interview Details – I was contacted via email for a phone interview. She called me exactly at the time stated. interview went ok. She kept asking me a few questions over and I quickly asked if there was more information she wanted or can I elaborate on anything. It was distracting because sounded far away as if i as on speaker phone.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Seattle, WA Feb 2012 – Reviewed Feb 27, 2012
Interview Details –
I submitted a resume online and was later contact by a recruiter for a phone interview. The phone interview was straightforward so it just a basic screening regarding my skills, what they were looking for, salary requirements, and more information regarding the company. The actual interview was about 3 hours. I took a basic excel test. Followed by an interiew with a Senior Buyer, Buyer, Asst. Buyer, and then Director of Merchandiser. I was supposed to meet with another Director, but he/she was too busy. I was surprise that there wasn't a schedule for the interview, but I understand that everyone was super busy in the department so it was most likely a challenge getting people together. The interviews were straight forward. No trick questions or anything.
In regards to the company culture, it appears that every works very hard with long hours. Zulily after all is a start up. The job is demanding, but everyone looked like they had fun for the most part.

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Seattle, WA Dec 2011 – Reviewed Dec 23, 2011
Interview Details – I applied online and received a call for a phone interview relatively quickly. I was asked to come in for an interview. I interviewed with a few people individually from the team that I apparently would be on. In general they seemed nice enough. A little unprepared though. No one seemed to know who I was supposed to talk with or when. One gal was unfriendly and seemed more interested in telling me about how great she was than asking any questions. Another person talked about people not being very happy on the team when I asked about team dynamics. Overall I left with a slightly negative impression.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – They described it as being a project manager role where I would be on call 24-7. Not what I am looking for.
