Great place to work but don't get too attached.

    I worked at ACT

Excellent benefits, some of the best in the area. ACT brings many speakers and interesting events to campus for employees. Lots of flexibility, wonderful coworkers, many opportunities to learn and get involved in things beyond your job.

ACT has been undergoing change for several years, and while many of these changes have been positive, it creates an unstable environment where people are unsure of their future place in the company and may have ambiguous jobs. ACT has also eliminated many jobs over the last couple of years, and many of those affected were long term employees who were committed to the organization. This seems to be an organization that does not value loyalty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If your good employees are not in jobs that you need anymore, find them a job in another area rather than eliminating them from your organization. You have lost a lot of people who were deeply committed to your success because you couldn't be bothered to train them for something else if their current job was no longer a fit. I want to be able to recommend ACT as an employer, because I really loved working there when I did. But I can't in good faith tell a friend to work there when it might mean sudden job loss for them. ACT is a financially stable organization so it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth that you'd rather eliminate good workers than move them to fit your needs.
