Originally had a family type atmosphere with great people to work with and challenging work to keep you occupied.
This is a company that is behind in the IT Industry. This could have been a great Company if only they stopped laying off some of their elite personnel. Currently if an IT person was to apply to this company at it's current state, they are taking a step back or "hiding" from their career. Until a year ago, they only installed DB2 and a semi-functioning CICS system. Everyone else in the industry is years ahead.
Advice to Management
Upper management has to research a lot closer who they are laying off. There was quite a number of people of caliber that was let go because nothing but circumstance. If that is the governing principle for their decisions, it's no wonder why this company is so backwards. Personnel who are left are those who know how to hide out well but do not have any diversity in their portfolio.
