If you're "in" on the political side, you're taken care of. If you are self-taught, you'll do just fine. Every once in a while an interesting project has come along, but minimal opportunity for junior staff to participate in. Pay is decent, benefits are okay.
Management makes a good show of caring but little to no follow-through on employee concerns. Multiplier makes this company not cost effective in this geographic market. Education, mentoring and promotion of junior staff is slow: mentoring opportunities are few and far between. You will be pigeon holed. Offices fight each other for work and generally do not share.
Advice to Management
Cut 30% of senior management, too top heavy and the multiplier is too high to compete for mid-sized jobs. Support junior staff with mentoring opportunities and follow-through on verbal commitments to employees.
