I have been working at AIG full-time for more than a year

Salary is competitive, bonuses are fair. Paternity leave is very generous (approaching European standards). I have come across some very talented people here but you have to look. There are a lot of 9 to 5's here as well who tend to coast thru the day.
Work life balance is good (of course, I was working 80 hrs a week before here; now its more like 50)

Senior management takes a long time to make decisions and when they do, the fire drill ensues. Chronic under investment in systems and infrastructure has put AIG way behind peers. Finance in particular is is mess although getting better

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train more and promote from within. Most roles are hired from the outside as HR has no formalized way of tracking high potential employees.
