I worked at APN Software Services as a contractor for less than a year

    I was paid on time.

I started three weeks later than the original start date. If I had not been lied to about the start date I would have continued my job search. I was provided absolutely no benefits of any kind. The client harassed me constantly discussing pornography, swearing and showing up in my cube four to five times a day asking if I was done yet. When I suggested doing an estimate for the project and setting a deadline I was refused. Showing up and harassing me was the only acceptable method of doing business. The worst part was going to "active shooter training" as required by human resources only to have a laser pen pointed at me. I could not see the source of the laser and thought I was going to be shot. The in house employee thought the laser light trick following HR discussing a shooter roaming the site was hilarious. There was not enough work and too many people hired. I did all the assignments I was give effectively yet APN is challenging my unemployment benefits. This company is predatory and dishonest.
