    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

good pay for a retail job
    ok benefits
    technology was fun
    free demo phone

    Cons

    nepotism
    favortism
no opportunities for career motivated people.
managers standing behind you with clipboards checking a 20 point list.
    same boaring task everyday.
having to let the customer walk over you.
closedoor middle management and sometimes store management
You are required to ask each customer about 10 robotic questions; yes even billpay clients.
The job is senority based, so if you are new be prepaired to work all the crappy shifts and never get your requests off.
Stay away unless you are ok with being treated like a robot and slave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

develop a management development program that is solid and does not vanish when times are hard. Get rid of the senority based system as it hurts performance.
