    I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work-life Balance: I began telecommuting after the first year in my role, telecommuting one day a week after my second year I began telecommuting three days a week.

    Personal Growth: AT&T offers extensive self-paced e-learning and leader-led training; which can greatly increase your earning potential as you move through the ranks. AT&T also provides tuition reimbursement opportunities.

    Vacation Time: is another great benefit by the third year of employment I had a total of 144 hours of Vacation Time and another 64 hrs of Personal Time.

    Cons

    Salary: Unfortunately AT&T's pay structure is highly regimented and not entirely based on merit. Personally, I achieved the highest numbers within my work group and although I received high performance reviews in achieving the goals of the business I got a satisfactory remark in leadership area. These ratings cancelled each other out giving me an overall satisfactory rating qualifying me for a standard pay increase; this type of performance review is very common among my co-workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    My organization is heavily metrics driven, exceeding those goals should be favorably compensated or included in the bonus structure. Currently the bonus structure is weighted totally on the organization's performance; this reduces the moral of your most productive employees because of the way the pay structure is setup.

    I'd also recommend tying employees compensation for all Global Ordering employees with lead time adding further incentive to achieve organizational goals across all partner organizations.
