I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

AT&T is a great company that believes in keeping up with new and fast-paced technology competitive to Google and Amazon. Great Pay and BUT benefits are alright. AT&T is geared towards 2020 workforce. Which allows their employees to enhance their skills by offering extensive technology training in Agile Methodologies, Big Data, and extensive Transformation courses, just to name a few. That will help employees meet company goals and expectations.

AT&T continues to reduce their workforce by 2020, which includes 40% of their employees will be laid-off. And most of their positions will be sent to off-shore. AT&T just had a major lay-off 7/31/15 and 5,000 employee nationwide were notified that their jobs were being eliminated. Not sure why or how the News media has missed reporting this information. It is rumored that they will continue heavy down-sizing every 6-9 months.

    Advice to Management

Treat ALL employees with respect. Get rid of the big boy politics. And remember, what goes around comes around. Unfortunately, their good and bad managers in every company. Per my experiences w/ATT.. I have always worked in a toxic environment, with the exception of a few departments were managers led and encouraged their employees to succeed to the next level.
