Great brand to have on your resume, but lots of issues to work out.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Fortune 20 brand and a great place to learn the nuts and bolts of communications industry -- particularly the blazing hot mobile space. Pay is very competitive as well.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy - you spend more time preparing for meetings or doing trainings versus actually getting your work done. Health benefits are terrible as well (health insurance is too costly compared to the coverage you receive) and paid time off policy is subpar. Also, there seems to be a lack of accountability (i.e. "pass the buck" attitude, particularly within support groups) and it can be very difficult to navigate the complex organization in order to get help or procure resources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop adopting a one-size-fits-all attitude. Each division has different business needs, so a group like home solutions or advanced business solutions shouldn't have the same rules as the retail group. Also, trust your employees - don't create rules to regulate the non-complaint ones, as these rules punish the honest people.
