AT&T Mobility is a good place to work because they provide great job security in a growing market and great benefits. The work environment is fun and tolerant, with a lax dress code and mostly relaxed management. The time off & holiday pay is accrued quickly, and benefits start right away. The job itself is not too complicated once you in the swing of things, and working in a call center definitely has its perks.
Management does not understand the job that their employees are doing. Can be a drag to get new processes implemented, methods & procedures needlessly makes things complicated. The center does not have any resources for exercise, child care, etc. for work-life balance within the center itself. You are chained to a desk all day, which can wreak havoc on your fitness level. Those who do not have child care in the area find it particularly taxing.
Advice to Management
Once a month, spend a day on the phones! It would help to understand what could be done in order to make the customer service/support process much more efficient and likeable for our customers--it could close the gap between us & verizon.
