I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch

    Pros

It's fun to work with people your age.
They're easygoing on hours because basically all the employees are students except for the managers
You could make your own schedule and just had change your availability 2 weeks in advance if you were going out of town and you never needed permission.
It was easy to find someone to take your shift if needed bc they employ so many people
    Discounts were fun

    Cons

The pay sucked...its minimum wage and no raises are given
They really do hire based on looks and put the less attractive people in the back room working on stock
You had to buy the newest clothes...I ended up with less money in my bank account than when I started
Call-in shifts were awful...you had one per week and had to call the store one hour before it started to see if they needed you...impossible to make plans

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Call in shifts are unrealistic. Go easy on the less attractive people...its not their fault. GIVE RAISES! Minimum wage is impossible to live off of especially if you only work 20 hours a week and go to school
