    Pros

Great opportunities for training. Travel perks if you enjoy work travel. Ability to be quite independent in structuring your work/work week. Apparently moving away from the decades old, out-of-date practice of trying to ladder all 340,000+ employees.

    Cons

Lacking the edge they had when they were private (i.e., having the elite of the elite employees) and given general shifts and changes (and new competition) in the industry, Accenture is struggling to try to fill the shoes of both the old model (the place companies look to for outstanding, "can only get it here" insight and strategic guidance) and the new reality (a place that can keep 340,000 employees off the bench, particularly while they add headcount to keep Wall Street happy.)

    Advice to Management

Quit trying to sell the "partnership" model. MD is NOT a carrot. Find a structure that allows your employees to continue getting promoted every 4 - 5 years. Accenture has become IBM...stop fighting it and embrace it.
