I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDoesn't RecommendNeutral Outlook
It was a nice place to work up to two years ago when things started to go to hell and a hand basket. I worked there for just under 8 years. Right now I have nothing good to say about it except I hope the upper management enjoys their golden parachutes. :-(
The IT department will run you into the ground, as of two years ago when management changed its direction it was a great place to work, Now the IT department has been using its people as slave laborers because they are very slow to add more staff. Due to this I worked over a two week period just under 130 hours and then on one weekend starting of Friday with a 13 hour day and by 5pm on Sunday I had 30 hours in. I would not recommend anyone who does not want to be driven into the ground to consider employment here in the IT department. When a server goes down they treat it like a life and death situation which is insane.
Advice to Management
Wake up and smell the roses, start giving people raises, even cost of living raises and do not take away annual bonuses. This has been your biggest down fall and when that stops people will run away in droves like what is happening today. The only way to get a raise here is to get promoted to management or a different department and even that is not guaranteed. It seems to be all about you hood winking the investors into thinking that every thing is fine when inside it is not. Also some of the Directors and VP's need to get people skill training, they belittle people on phone calls in front of other co-works if you even mention that you do not know something.
