    Pros

    • Many good people work there that can lead to lasting friendships, but you can find that at pretty much any major job these days • Nice office/ complex • Free breakfast once a month and things like ice cream occasionally • Not much else stands out as specifically or uniquely good, because things like the occasional free food can be found in so many offices. Its the Cons you must look for. I didn't mind my job at times, but worked closely with many who did not. Feeling negativity all day wears on you. Work here if you don't have a family at home (live alone) and are willing to put in a lot of hours, but read the Cons and Advice to Management below before you apply to see if it fits your ideals.

    Cons

    • Many positions have undesirable hours (to most people) • Mandatory overtime while others work less than 40 hours a week, but are on salary, so they can leave • Traffic in the area is really bad, even during lunch • All departments either have bad leadership, or their hands are tied. • No Idea how the company as a whole is doing right now and for a long time now • Very little, if any appreciation for employees who do a great job • A few horrible leaders (hope you don't get one) • Favoritism is one of the worst aspects of working at Access Insurance (all departments) • Definite and obvious division of working class • Problems are not properly corrected. Seems like they keep trying the same ways to fix the same problems, over and over again. If it didn't work 6 months ago, its not going to work now. • Customers rarely get resolution and have to wait on the phones for very long periods of time. No paying customer should have to consistently wait for 45 minutes to get bad service. • Many of the leaders are married to their job and don't have children, so they are unsympathetic to those with children who value their families over the job. There are a few who are really bad with this, and they expect too much. • When you create a culture of people who do not care, why would the people with decision making power care? • Benefits - they are not the worst, but they are far from a pro. • They plant highly rated company reviews in order to heighten their overall score

    Advice to Management

    • Sell the company to someone who cares (if that even exists) • Stop using this company as your personal wallet and the employee's lives as your pawns to push around without remorse. • STOP planting fake company reviews to boost the company's rating (you know you're doing it, STOP). • Pay equal wages for equal jobs • STOP the rampant favoritism • Get rid of the leaders who you continuously get negative feedback on • Stop terminating great employees and leaders because you personally don't like them • Show that you care about the people who are making you loads of money • Most leaders, from supervisors to the VP's and possibly above are absentee landlords. They can tell you what to do, but sit in their offices doing nothing most of the day. Yes, many of us have seen you checking your stocks on multiple occasions. • Create a more cohesive environment, not just between employees, but also between departments. • Create an internal anonymous feedback/survey system just for the non-managerial employees. You will quickly see the problems and who the problem employees are. Then act on it appropriately. There are more, but I will be wasting digital ink. These are ALL issues you know exist, which tells me and almost everyone else who works at Access Insurance that many of you just don't care. The mindset is, how can we hold this company the way it is, and run it with the least amount of money infusions as possible. It is not easy to run a large company, and not everyone will like what you are doing, but at least try to show that you care by correcting some of these major problems. It will pay off in the long run. I'm sure you will be wondering who wrote this. Don't focus on that, just start fixing problems. Best Regards, Former Employee
