I have been working at Acosta full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work with a variety of people at store level. Insurance available. Vacation, sick time, some holidays.

    Cons

Absolutely NO raises EVER, this company does not even match what the retailers you work in everyday do for yearly wage increases. Insurance premiums are very high for the number of employees. Poor communication from upper management to lower. Reactive instead of proactive. Where most companies have mandatory drug tests for employees, Acosta seems fine with the breath test, if you can breath you are hired. No accountability for bad work from other teams, upper management does not want to know, and will state "just keep quiet." This company is growing very fast, but by acquisition alone, not by quality work. Computer systems, etc. not keeping up with the influx. Perks becoming more and more limited. Interesting though, the majority of reviews state low pay, but most approve of CEO, as if only lower management decides who if any get raises, bonuses, or perks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with RESPECT. Your field staff are the ones making you or breaking you. $10.00 to $12.00 an hour for the majority of long term employees should be an embarrassment to this company. Focus less on acquisition, and more on improving your existing accounts to keep them. If you want to be known as a leader in the industry, act like one. If you treat your people well, they will stay, instead of the constant turn over this company has. You pay more to consistently train new hires, than it would cost to keep the good employees you already have. Accountability starts from the TOP down.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
