    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    A job is a job. The best thing to says is that this is a decent intro job for customer service, sales, and/or supply chain logistics.

    Cons

    Your boss is completely adherent to the client. As a third party logistics provider, those who you answer to answer to the client, and at least in my case, this meant that the client would have outrageous expectations that were impossible to meet, and my bosses did nothing to help ease the burden. The workload kept piling, my team fell further and further behind, and my boss refused to even advise the client that we needed to hire more people. We were regularly told to keep on top of our stuff and that our work was not satisfactory, but compared to the people who we replaced (our jobs were outsourced from the client to ASM, and the best part of that was that the people we replaced had to train us knowing they were out a job in less than a month; needless to say, our training was less than satisfactory), we were handling more than double their standard workload, sometimes triple. It was an impossible work situation that led to a lot of stress, and people were constantly quitting because it was not worth the pay. This of course led to more work being shoved on the people who remained because hiring and training took forever, and they never hired ahead even when they knew someone planned on leaving (had put in their two weeks).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stand up to the customer. Yes, they are the customer, and they get to dictate the terms, but when the situation is clearly not working out, and you cannot keep employees from quitting, grow a backbone and stand up for your team.
