I worked at Advertising Research Foundation full-time (more than an year)

You get to sit in the middle of the industry and see trends and hot topics, and you get to work with all types of companies. Almost like working at an agency with lots of clients.

The management is chaos. There is no clear direction it seems. There are a million meetings and internal emails that keep everyone from actually working. It's a small organization but the paralysis that is created due to the lack of organization and management is insane. Things change daily, which keeps anything from really happening. If you intern here for a few months you see nothing but administrative work, and anything you were working on was probably cancelled or changed. One day the CEO says we are all going to work on an event, then tells everyone that people are going to get fired, then the next day the CEO changes her mind and has everyone redo all of their work because she wants to go in another direction, then the next week the CEO will cancel the event because no guests registered to attend. It's just crazy. Doesn't seem like she knows what she is doing as the staff all seem tense, and the staff morale is absolutely horrible. It feels like a revolving door. People are joining and leaving week by week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a plan and stick to it. Listen to the younger staff. Stop trying to scare everyone that they may be fired. Let people work instead of sitting in meetings that we have no idea what is being talked about. Stop being so fake.
