Current Employee - Customer Service in Des Plaines, IL

I have been working at Advocate Health Care full-time for more than a year

lots of locations with the business systems, hospitals, and clinics (centers), good for high school students needing something to do, good resume experience for those who lack experience for other companies, don't need a quality education to get hired (G.E.D. equivalent to PHD), lots of job opportunities

no paid holidays, pay is low, high turn over in every position from doctors to janitors, medical/dental/vision benefits very expensive, no sick days, every location is ran differently depending on how that managers wants to run it, company & management does not care about the associates, brown nosing surpasses everything, pay for parking on company property at most sites, no associate appreciation, job opportunities are plenty if you're clinical or you want another customer service job, or you don't mind driving all over Illinois without travel reimbursement. Manager may be the parent of the team leader, co-worker of the sibling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to your associates, stop bullying people, put money into your business locations, make managers accountable, develop real training, since a lot of money went into marketing to make people think it's the "best company to work for", act like it. Develop structure for the entire company instead of "AMG (advocate medical group)" and "AHC (advocate healthcare)", become 1 advocate instead of claiming it's coming. Stop bribing associates to give good survey ratings about the company.
