    Pros

Excellent benefits, but doesn't quite outweigh the terrible compensation. If there wasn't so much red tape to advance and people promoted faster or didn't hold you back, it would help.

    Cons

In my department, which due to the large size of the organization there is variance in every department, but in my department, the management and leadership style is outdated. Too much bureaucracy and micromanaging. Departments are not in line with Organization mission and strategy, there is lack of connectivity between the upper and lower management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find methods and "strategies" not only for the organization, but for leadership to hold them accountable. There is not a healthy work environment throughout campus due to poor leadership and poor ongoing training, and I feel like upper management could care less or are out of touch. There is too much "trust" in the lower to middle management, or maybe they are just concerned with the nominal performance and really don't care if they are doing the management side where they have to empower and motivate their employees as well, not talk about them around them, or gossip in front of them instead of giving constructive criticism and feedback. Pay more attention to lower employees and then you might hit more goals with hitting higher employee retention and employee satisfaction.
