I worked at Alcatel-Lucent HoldingPros
Wait a few more hours and I may be able to think of one, but don't hold your breath......
Oh I found one, they provide snacks and some free drinks but you got to watch and not get the old stale ones.Cons
Their Software QA group is the pits.
They have a very unstable testing environment. There servers, tools and networks become very slow or crash at the most important time in testing, repeatedly. Worst yet, the management has no interest or clue in wanting to fix their nearly broken systems. They won't listen to any "Best Practices" or new ideas to fix their issues.
They want the "Consultant" to work after-hours and weekends (work 50 and put down 40 hours) and they don't tell you that in the job description or tell you until about 3 to 4 weeks into the job. Therefore, the majority of the employees are contractors, green cards.
This extra time is needed in many cases because their systems became very slow or crashed and you have to make up the time in the evenings or weekends once they get everything back on-line.
Their environment is nearly impossible to test in with any reliability.
It's a terrible, sweat-shop, slave/job! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Do yourself a BIG favor and don't even consider this company.
Motive is a division of Alcatel-Lucent. They are so badly managed that Alcatel had to buy them out to keep them from going under, (out of business) a few years ago.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Try some industry "Best Practices" or new ideas to fix your many issues. Reminder, You are part of a World-wide organization now not a start-up anymore.Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEO
