    Pros

    Job freedom, not many people looking over your shoulder, opportunity for overtime, nice coworkers and professional supervisors. All of these qualities depend on the site you are assigned to. More pay for riskier sites (ie. Phx. lite rail).

    Cons

    Some sites are a bust. I worked at the Musical instrument museum in Scottsdale, AZ and the on site staff wanted to manage allied Barton on site. Managers at location were hard to work with and unprofessional. Employees got laid off without warning. Allied Barton is contracted out so you as an employee are at the mercy of the company that has hired AB. There are good and bad sites. Some stable and some very unstable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Share more info. with employees especially if a site is about to lay employees off or end a contract. Employees appreciate honesty and will stay with the company if you relay info. professionally.
