I have been working at Ally Financial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay is as good as any other company for my role
    6% Matching 401k after 1 year.
    8% bonus for direct hires

    Cons

Mix of in-source and outsource. Lots of off hour work with the expectation of being in the office 9 to 5pm. Bullying to work on projects that were planned poorly. Many islands of single individuals with all the expertise (pulling the weight of others). Micromanagement, Disorganized IT process. Unskilled coworkers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more skilled people, allow working at home again. Hire people outside of Detroit. Review tools for governing IT process.
