I worked at Altierre full-time (more than an year)

If you work there, you get a paycheck.

Where to start?! This company is a trainwreck of epic proportions. The work environment is toxic at best and starts with the CEO, who creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. Everyone working there quickly hits the uh-oh moment when they realize they signed on to work at the most dysfunctional company on the planet. You are better off working at McDonalds because at least they would respect you more. The typical engineering meeting with the CEO is one where everyone holds back their opinion, knowing that the CEO will tell you how to do your job, regardless of what your experience/expertise is, often with disastrous results. Case in point, the product has a high failure rate due to a poorly executed design process and complete lack of QA. The batteries last less than 2 years, not the 5 years they are supposed to last because the contact points were never properly tested. The CEO rants and raves that it's someone else's fault, even though he was the one who dictated the development process and told the engineers how things should be done. What a joke. He's completely incompetent. But no one dares to point out the obvious because the CEO just fires naysayers.
I feel sorry for the VC's or anyone who invested money into this failure. The CEO has been wasting your money. All the employees have their resumes ready, just waiting for the right opportunity to leave because it's clear that this company will soon fail. There is no team camraderie, morale is at an all time low, and the company is basically hanging on by a thread with only one true customer left. Altierre can't win any new business with its poor financial health and low quality product. Many vendors have dropped Altierre because they never get paid on time, but CEO doesn't care because he is deluded enough to think that doing business with Altierre is always a privilege. Sorry, but no.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is no use giving advice to this company because the CEO and the majority of the senior management do not bother to listen to employees. The only thing that they know how to do is point fingers and bark incessantly.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
