I worked at Amarr Garage Doors full-time (less than an year)Pros
The pros about this company are the people that work there, some are really good folks.Cons
The big negative, for me anyway, was poor sales support.
When I joined this company I worked a sales territory for them that I'd worked before for 3 or 4 building material companies - and I'd been successful in each of those previous jobs.
But with Amarr conditions were weirdly different...
They provided almost no sales support (ie. inside sales support, or clerical support) and as a result I was bogged down from the start with a crazy amount of paperwork that had little to do with actual sales.
As a result it was very frustrating to let ripe business go un-pursued while I sat at my clunky laptop they provided and typed out reports.
My boss and I finally got to the point where we were both ready to call it quits. He was a decent guy, but they had him chasing his tail so hard (they'd promoted him to a harder job with no raise in pay) that he was not really on his game.
Amarr was one of those experiences for me that taught me a lesson - which is watch very closely for companies that seem to be the whole package but aren't.Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEO
