Like Marmite, you love it or you hate it.

There are some very well run teams, and others not so much. I have experienced both. Badly run teams, as in any other company, will be very unproductive and extremely frustrating.

    That said, in general:

(+) Dynamic, lots of things happening around you, and some very cool stuff being tested/launched.
(+) Many opportunities to change roles within the company and take on new challenges. Internal transfers are encouraged.
(+) Good team spirit, people are willing to help each other and collaborate.
(+) Lots of autonomy in making decisions, everybody can be an "owner".
(+) You are always very busy, and there is no room for slackers.

(-) Things can move very slowly due to the many dependencies across teams.
(-) Very little coaching/mentoring/guidance from managers, and hardly any training & dev on professional growth.
(-) Not a lot of recognition for a job well done (this is a generalization based on my 10 years in the company - I have had some great managers, but in general they are hands-off in every way)

    Advice to Management

Actively help your employees develop professionally.
Set a clear strategy for your team (and stick to it for more than 5 minutes).
