I worked at AmeriPlan part-time (more than a year)

If you are highly motivated, well-connected, not afraid of cold-calling and have lots of time and money to spend on training recruits and paying for the company's expensive benefits, you could do well.

I worked for this company for a year and a half. I'm a professional and not a whiner or complainer - I worked extremely, extremely hard on their behalf and never covered my costs and my upline barely gave me the time of day much less help when I really needed it.

Keep in mind the discounted rates this company offers are usually no better than asking your doctor for the cash rate.

It seems the only way to achieve high income fast is to be "stacked" by a successful person who already works for company and has been there for some time, which is expressly forbidden in their terms of service/marketing agreement. There is a lot of unethical behavior happening behind the scenes.

I attended their convention last year and it was a bit of a joke. I think AmeriPlan had wildly popular conventions in the past and it was touted as a time for great targeted training but the whole event came across as poorly executed, frankly a bit boring and there was no specialized training.

The attrition rate for IBO's is phenomenal. While it seems like discounted healthcare would be a no-brainer, I found it extremely challenging to sign people up for both the benefits, or to work for the company from home.

The comp plan at this company is not good. You have to buy into your commission rate and then don't make anything from your team until you have signed up 10 business builders underneath you, and then it's a very small percentage at that. The trainers at this company make this position sound easy, but in reality it's extremely hard. I don't know very many people who have 3-7 years to build a full time income working from home. If people aren't making money, they simply won't stay.

Also, stop training new recruits on social media strategies that don't work anymore. Putting out flyers, posting on Craigslist = these strategies simply don't work.

And that's the tip of the iceberg!
