Was searching for a low stress job that would leave me with gas at the end of the day to work on things related to my small business at home. Found just that with a 6 month contract working on ACS's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. You're not exactly fundraising, but rather (initially) calling into businesses to see if they'd be interested in forming a team for the walk-a-thon. As the project goes on, you follow up as an aid to the teams that you've "recruited." Lots of these people are connected to the cause and are excited about it. Makes for a very positive, meaningful call center experience (compared to others). Management was wonderful. Friendly, supportive, and fair. They hire people with good social skills, too, so there's plenty of fun personalities around to keep the work day lively. I should also mention that they were very flexible. I was always able to get time off when I needed, even past the 5 day TO allotment.
This job can get boring at times, but I had some pretty cool co-workers that helped to keep things lively. They tend to hire out going people, so there are always many fun and interesting personalities floating around the office. But if you're looking for a mentally stimulating workplace, then you're going to have a bad time. Also... 30 minute breaks. Like, this is terrible. By far the worst part of the job. 30 minutes in an 8 hour work day is not enough. I tended to stay till 5:15 (rather that 5pm), so I could have an extra 15 minute break.
