I have been working at American Friends Service Committee

A few good people; ambitious goals; decent salary and good transportation policy.

Lots of bureaucracy. It's incredibly challenge to move initiatives and plans. This could be because of the mass layoffs. Cross-departmental communication could be groomed better, and there are a lot of office politics. Internal politics distract from "the real" external politics. It border lines pettiness, and there is some organizational exclusion--cliques. Again pettiness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

External consultants good provide much needed organizational assessments.
