    I have been working at Amtrak full-time for more than 5 years


    Pension, Pay, good entry level employer, training provided. Lots of overtime for operations employees, ability to meet lots of people from all different areas of the country. Travel benefits (whatever is left of that)


    Compensation is fast declining, operations employees work in hideous conditions. No sick time, corrupt union, very political. No recognition given to employees for jobs well done, very few areas for promotions unless you know the right people. No support for the working man and woman. Morale very low

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take feedback from the men and women in the field on how to improve service. Better vetting process for promotions, recognition for outstanding work, better conditions for resting crews. More accountability for underperforming managers,
