    - Casework is challenging, varying, and rewarding. In the Dallas office, casework typically relates to damages quantification in intellectual property litigation disputes. However, such casework is performed across a number of different industries and involves the analysis of various forms of compensation (e.g., lost profits, royalties, price erosion, disgorgement, loss of company value, etc.) applying various methodologies depending on the circumstances of the case and available data. Casework includes engagements for a number of Fortune 500 and Global 500 companies in the mobile devices, telecommunications, internet services, and medical devices industries, among others. - Staff typically work in small case teams that allow for collaboration but also greater exposure on cases from start to finish (as opposed to a small aspect of each case). Staff are able to contribute their ideas and are given a large amount of responsibility over casework after gaining the trust of management. - The pay and benefits (including health insurance, 401K matching, and vacation time) are all excellent. In addition, AG provides some degree of tuition reimbursement and will cover the cost of certain professional development activities (e.g., CFA materials and exams).

    - The hours can get pretty rough, particularly as deadlines approach. The hours are not consistently long, but do get long at times. - The work can also be high-stress at times, with some data and/or new information coming in at the last minute and analyses needing to be completed just before a deadline. - Not all of the casework is glamorous. Cases generally begin with a large amount of document review to get up-to-speed on the facts, data, and information relevant to the case. This document review can be tedious, particularly for analysts and associates.
