Where to start. Company values are called "pride", but there's zero of it shown to staff. The office is shabby and disgusting, and it smells. Even the windows haven't been washed for over three years to keep costs down!
Senior management have no idea, particularly the exec board. They have employed strategic staff, then got rid of all of them after a year because they didn't like the fact that they were being told to spend money to save the business. So they've now reverted back to the tactical staff that have been there years, to try and repeat the success of...... Oh wait, there hasn't been any success there for years except for a fluke book release that saved the business (fifty shades).
Staff are also treated like second class citizens. No structure to performance reviews. Objectives are not linked to any business strategy, and are dealt with by emotion instead of fact. People have been made redundant, or told they were not performing, even though they had stellar performance reviews and had delivered a number of high profile projects! Talk about knee-jerk. It also has by far the worst HR department I've ever known.
But, that's the business for you. Cheap and tacky, in all areas.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Grow some and bring in a proper CEO and operations director, people who really have experience of multi channel retail. Also, they will recognise just how ineffective your senior management team are, and bring real management in with fresh ideas.
Close party plan, as it's never going to make money, and people just aren't interested in the boring concept.
