I have been working at Apex Tool Group full-time (less than an year)

Some of the people are great.

Indescribably awful management, long hours & we work almost every weekend. Slave wages (sub-standard/cannot subsist on them) & no chance for advancement. Bain is blowing out the company (more "cost reduction" on the way). They aren't hiring the good temps permanently, so they're leaving. No one will get a raise this year. The CEO sent an email out within a couple weeks of the Bain Capital sale closing calling for a 9.8% cost reduction phase and issuing a raise freeze, but said there was no hiring freeze (oh yes there is). Even if you show up dressed as a patent, they couldn't care less. Your only reward for hard work, excellent productivity, quality and problem solving ability is that you get to come back the very next day and do it all over again. We jokingly say, "Apex Tool Group, where every day is Monday." Yes, it's that bad. 100 reasons to get fired or quit, almost no reason(s) to stay. Just say no to fascism. Just say no to ATG.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop threatening us almost every day. Provide positive feedback, just for a change of pace. Create a much better work environment by promoting collaboration, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Attract & retain better people at better pay. Pay a living wage, otherwise people will continuously look for alternative employment. It could be so much better, but management only cares about saving their own jobs...which may not work anyway.
