Former Employee - Senior Technical Service Manager  in  Warrington, North West England, England (UK)
Former Employee - Senior Technical Service Manager in Warrington, North West England, England (UK)

I worked at AppSense full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Well, they supply free fruit

    Cons

Some senior management are so far disconnected from the reality it is concerning. The middle tier management try to execute but there are far too many blockers to progress effectively. Senior management make far too many mistakes and it became more of 1 step forward 2 steps back. The end result is the business having to continuously make redundancies to cover costs, senior management team do not ever take responsibility for the poor decisions made. Chairman is a fantastic motivator however has lost control of his business through poor C level management. Watch this space, there will never be an IPO, if I was a gambling person, AppSense will be acquired within the next 24 months

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your middle management tier more. Stop dangling carrots, that does not raise motivation! Give GS their money back and restructure senior management. Build the next Gen platform and focus on what you are world leaders for.
