    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Applied Predictive Technologies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The salary and perks (food, drinks, events, game room, fitness stipend) are pretty competitive A majority of the office is pretty nice and friendly Boutique style company

    Cons

No say on client teams Poor work-life balance due to the multiple case model At times, the job feels more like software support and sales instead of management consulting Hierarchical, political nature Some interns and entry level BCs don't get to travel much if at all, even though they tend to do the most work on the project Poor training and career development Very cheap travel budget- expect to penny pinch flights and stay at La Quintas and Hampton Inns (friends at competing firms got to stay at Hiltons, etc)

    Advice to Management

Get a better feel for what the first years do - there seems to be a disillusion between what they do and what the management thinks. Example- the CEO came to the interns and said he left McKinsey because after doing the work on a project they didn't let him travel. Funnily enough, this happens at APT all the time.
