I worked at Apria Healthcare full-time (more than an year)

It was a great learning experience to break into the healthcare arena.

POOR LEADERSHIP! I had three area sales managers in the short period of time I worked there. The current manager is young and clueless as to how to deal with different personalities. He clearly discriminates and shows favoritism to certain peers. The turnover is so bad it's ridiculous. I don't understand how HR doesn't see or want to see something is wrong. Everyone is overwhelmed and all upper management cares is about numbers. They don't provide the resources for you to succeed. They expect you to just make if happen. I highly recommend doing your research prior to accepting an offer. It's not worth the headache.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just because you have people in leadership roles does not mean they are the right fit. If people are leaving its for a reason. Spend time in the field so that you have a clear image of what's going on. Ride with the techs so that you experience first hand complaints from patients. Sit with customer service so that you listen to case managers, referral coordinators, and patients complain about the level of service they are recieving.

You can't improve a process if you have no clue what's going on.
