Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Lemont, IL

I worked at Argonne National Laboratory as an intern for less than a year

    - able to work with very bright, intelligent people
    - flexible working schedule
    - seminars and other continued learning opportunities
    - other employees enjoy their work and are willing to assist

    - as with most places, no administrative privileges with your computer so you have to wait for IT for everything. Perhaps some full time employees are granted access.
    - ridiculous policies on radiation protection (like the rest of the US)
    - work can be slow waiting for purchasing, etc.
    - some facilities seem quite dated. lots of legacy experiments gathering dust
