I worked at Ashford University full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers who I am still friends with, Somewhat "regular hours" (although Sat OT sometimes expected), 401k (vests after 4 years) & benefits, and location on 16th street in downtown Denver. Pay was average.

    Cons

Saw dozens of friends laid off when I was not, management is not knowledgeable, less about helping students more about enrollment #'s, Ashford has a hard time competing w/ other online programs and accreditation was compromised making enrollments more difficult towards the end of my time w/ the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more lateral opportunities for advancement/pay. Be honest in interview that #'s are your priority, because they are. Find a way to restructure University to ensure your students succeed, it'll help them and lower your attrition rates among employees.
