I worked at Aston University as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

Progressive, tries to be innovative and seems fairly responsive to the market. Business-minded, which means it is likely to be around for a long time.

    Cons

Had an ambitious vision penned a few years ago for 2020 - this probably needs some adjusting. Not all managers are receptive to change. Some inadequacies in HR support /training of managers - e.g. in carrying out annual appraisals.
