I worked at Astreya Partners full-time (more than an year)

Astreya is a company built on placing the best technology professionals into positions at the lowest cost. This means they know the value of their individual employees, and work on finding that balance between keeping their employees sharp and happy, and keeping the clients satisfied. What does that mean to you, the employee? Astreya is a great organization to work with to network into the field you are specializing in. Whomever you work for will have you introduced with other great professionals in that field, and will provide plenty of opportunities for you to learn and grow.

If you show aptitude, and professionalism, then Astreya will know when its time to move you on to a bigger chair that fits your skillets and ambition. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

All of my work with Astreya was as a subcontract for another large organization. So most of the drawbacks surrounded that relationship - being a subcontractor means you have two independent and distinct management chains, and sometimes this can cause confusion about what appropriate policies are, etc. This is really rarely a problem, however, and is going to be true of any large organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They know their people. They know where their people should be. The only thing I can suggest is more company provided training in whatever subject matter they need better employees in.
