I worked at Audi as a contractor
Great co-workers, great people work there, the veterans workers are wise and very helpful, some of the supervisors are great, it's contract, but you are guaranteed 40 hours a week, also lots of food is guaranteed, bonuses quarterly depending on how you do as well.
high turn over, don't care about their employees, a few of the supervisors aren't that great, politics, people were hired because they knew someone higher up or were their neighbors and while veterans and current employees were hired and told there is room for growth and for people to move up, they don't hold true to their word. Don't expect to get any where fast, or get really close to the people higher up. Tons of politics and people are not promoted based on their applicable experience but where they want you, long-time employees are overlooked even though they are used to train new hires, and they are not recognized for their abilities and commitment to the company. Attendance policy is strict, you will work nights and weekends, if you need particular hours, they do not work with you.
Advice to Management
Take an active interest in where your employees want to go within the company; and if they want to make moves to a new position, help them to get to that spot. More periodic reviews, more face to face meetings with employees especially those who want to move up or do something different or move to another department.
