They had some fun contests to try and motivate their employees. They had a decent commission structure. They also had a decent benefit package with retirement planning.
They were always trying to improve collections, as good business should. In doing so they tried some different systems and collection/commission structures. Many good, reasonably long term (over 2 years) employees either left or lost their jobs.
Advice to Management
Try and listen to the feedback of your employees. Discussing a major change, and gaining feedback, may be extremely helpful. When discussion happens, and little information is passed down the line, employees get worried. When employees are worried an already difficult job becomes that much more difficult.
