I have been working at Avaloq full-time (more than a year)Pros
Very open and friendly culture. Almost everyone at all levels is very happy to provide help and answer questions on their area of expertise.
A lot of tooling is made in-house, and thus well adapted to its specific job.
Fairly flat management structure, and lots of opportunity for contact with both direct management and higher levels.
Open and honest feedback is welcomed - and encouraged - in all directions.
Company seems quite good at and used to managing and adapting to change.
There is a procedure for everything.Cons
Management have a habit of keeping information about upcoming changes secret, even when there is no reason to do so.
A lot of tooling is made in-house, and thus can be wonky.
Multi-site development is quite new to Avaloq, so it is still in the process of feeling out the best way to handle this in terms of organisational structures, reporting paths, etc..
There is a procedure for everything.Advice to ManagementAdvice
The organisation of multi-site development still needs work.RecommendsNeutral Outlook
