I worked at BCBG as an intern (less than an year)

I loved the other employees in my department. I also was excited by the passion within the company. It's an invigorating environment. I gained a lot of experience in merchandising and also had the opportunity to meet with other individuals throughout the company.

There was not much training so it was rough at first but became easier as the internship progressed. I often felt more like an extra set of hands than an actual intern because the program was not really structured. I completed many tasks but at times their significance was unclear. I also wish they would have oriented me to the entire company in the beginning. Also, only the top executives can park on site so everyone else needs to take a shuttle, which takes a lot of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The interns should be paid and there should be more structure to the internship program.
