    I have been working at BDO UK full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Interesting range of work with early exposure to responsibility while still receiving the necessary support. Good pragmatic attitude to flexible working - work/life balance for employees is definitely on the agenda. It's give and take however.

    Cons

    Some weakness at partner level with buck passing and indecisiveness. Lots of politics around status, billings and knee jerking when the financials don't stack up. Periodic 'crack downs' on utilisation, recovery rates etc. Perception that only the partners benefit in good years - not much passed down to employees.
