Former Intern - IT Intern in Houston, TX
Former Intern - IT Intern in Houston, TX

I worked at BP as an intern (More than 3 years)

Nice, clean office, very flexible with my schedule. i pretty much got off whatever days I asked for. Good pay.

Some co-workers were either extremely nice or extremely rude. Some of the most immature adults I've ever met were at BP. Supervisors got in my personal business A LOT. Food court is expensive but just as any other would be.

    Advice to Management

Make it clear what it is you want the intern to do. i had to give myself work and find things to do. in the long run it wasn't a bad thing but when i first got there it was so confusing and i got blamed for it. Other employees that had nothing to do with my internship program taught me what i know and gave me work. Management should make the tasks clear and give credit to those who actually work with the interns instead of taking the credit yourself.
